Loyola not able to come out with a win against the underdog Oregon St.

The Ramblers suffered a devastating loss against the underrated Oregon St. Loyola did not perform to their potential and it cost them a chance to win the NCAA tournament. Krutwig put the ramblers on his back with a 14 point, 10 rebound double-double but it wasn't enough. Had the bench scored more than a combined 8 point maybe Loyola could've had a chance at winning. Most of Oregon State's success stemmed through their guard Ethan Thompson. Thompson played all 40 minutes and managed to get 22 points to lead the Beavers to a win.

UCLA stuns #2 Alabama in a fight to the finish!

UCLA beat a highly competitive Alabama team today in a game that was forced to overtime by a 3-pointer from Alex Reese for Alabama. From the very start of overtime UCLA had their heads in the game as they scored the first five points. Jaime Jacquez Jr. was the leader tonight with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. He also was responsible for two clutch jumpers early in overtime. Another key player was Jules Bernard as he also had 17 and made at least 4 3's. It is Coach Cronin's first elite 8 in all 18 years of his coaching career. Also, the bruins can be proud that this is their first elite 8 appearance since 2008.

Oregon upsets #2 Iowa

Today, Oregon and Iowa went head-to-head in the second round of the NCAA tournament and Iowa got their season ended. Oregon dominated Iowa as they outscored the buckeyes in both halves. Luka Garza, the senior center from Iowa, was very emotional after the loss after he had 36 points against the ducks. Luka became Iowa's all-time leading scorer with 711 for the year and 2270 in his career at Iowa. Oregon will move on to the 3rd round and will face their opponent on Sunday.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdMR11ED8Oc

Loyola defeats #1 Illinois

On Sunday, March 21, Loyola Chicago defeated a highly favored team to win the conference. Its the underdog's second year in a row being in the tournament and I believe they have come to win it all this year. With three players scoring double digits they averaged 51% from the field. Loyola's coach, Porter Moser is doing an excellent job drawing up plays and motivating his team and the success comes from how well his players are executing their plan and playing as a team. If they continue to play with the heart and will that they have now, I believe there is no team in this country that will beat them! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIjB81HkSvQ
